Henderson Cottage is perfect for just about any group – it has 3 large bedrooms on the main floor (2 Queen beds and 1 double), 2 more in the basement (1 single bed, 1 double, and 1 three-quarter), a double futon, and a double air mattress. All in all it sleeps 10!

The eat-in kitchen has a beautiful locally made harvest table that seats 10, dishwasher, microwave, fridge, stove and oven. It's fully equipped with everything you need, including dishes, pots, pans, coffee maker, kettle, Soda Stream carbonated water system, toaster, KitchenAid mixer, and immersion blender. Oh and we have a BBQ just outside under the cover of the deck.

If the weather is cooler or you just feel like bonding with our comfy couch and cozy blankets, enjoy our living room with a fireplace built from local Muskoka granite, our flat screen TV, and our DVD/VHS player. We have a collection of DVDs (and even a few VHS tapes) and a pretty good sized library if you are looking for a good book to read.

The main floor has a full bathroom with shower/tub combo, and the basement has another half bathroom. Downstairs you will also find a large games room, a cool screened in sitting area, an extra refrigerator, and a washer/dryer.

Sliding doors lead from our living room to the wrap-around deck with lake view, picnic table, and lounge area, including a double hammock you'll never want to leave! For outdoor play there is an open level area at the rear of the cottage – croquet, badminton, and bocce are provided. Of course the field and surrounding woods offer all kinds of places for imaginative pirates, fairies, cops and robbers to explore!

Walk down a smooth slope to our large private dock, where Sucker Lake provides a great backdrop for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, swimming, and of course cannon ball competitions! Better yet, sit and relax on one of our loungers and keep an eye out for Luke the Loon.

Don't forget your marshmallows because we have a gorgeous lakeside fire pit for nighttime bonfires, smore-making, and star-gazing.

No matter the weather or your mood, Hummingbird Cottage is an amazing place for your vacation. We hope to see you soon!
